Paul Nelson

Paul started his journey in funeral service as a sophomore in high school at the age of sixteen. Working at a funeral home just around the corner from his high school, he quickly learned the fragility of life and death. From washing cars, digging graves, pushing a mower to managing locations, and everything in between, "we all play a significant role in each family's; experience".

Paul was raised in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains near Lake Tahoe, California. He and his wife have four children and eight grandchildren. Paul completed mortuary college in Gresham, Oregon, graduating in 1992. He holds multiple industry licenses and is a respected leader and role model in the

death care industry. For several years Paul also worked in his community as a state certified volunteer firefighter and EMT.

In January of 2022, Paul and his wife Nicole moved to Florida and purchased Northwood Funeral Home & Crematory from Ernest Gagnon (see history). For Mr. Gagnon it was very important that the funeral home continue operating as a family-owned service provider. Today, the funeral home is one of very few family-owned and operated businesses serving Palm Beach County.
